Starting January 1, 2008

Lipo Batteries will be legal to run, with the following rules for all club and event races.

SAFETY FIRST, if you are unsure, then assume that it won't work and don't try it. Meaning if you do not have the equipment to run Lipos then you should not attempt to use one. Educate yourself first and then you will be safer for yourself and everyone else.

Rules:

HARD CASE LIPO BATTERIES ONLY.

7.4 volts only

Batteries must be charged in protective sack. (respect the pit person next to you and be safe) It is best to charge lipos before you come to the track.

Chargers must have Lipo cutoff protection and equalizer capability is recommended.

All classes must make weight. As follows:

Buggy - 1499g
4WD Buggy - 1613g
Trucks - 60oz
Sedans - 1525g
EDM(Oval) - 52oz

If you have questions, please bring them to the track. We have a month to talk about this and the driver's meetings are the best place to do this.

NO LIPO's UNTIL JANUARY 1, 2008. I will ask you to leave.

NOTES:
We are NOT changing the race lengths at this time.
We are NOT adding any more classes, so the rules we have been running are still the rules. We are just adding another legal battery to the program. And yes IB4200s will have to run with 4800 lipos.
